Alyssa's Story 

Alyssa Beth Cabes was born on May 8, 1994. In May of 1997, Alyssa was in a near-drowning accident and sustained severe brain damage. She was confined to a wheelchair and had a permanent feeding tube and tracheostomy. Alyssa was cared for at her home for the next 25 years of life and passed away peacefully on May 7, 2022, surrounded by her family.  She has been an inspiration to so many people in her 28 years of life.
